Samuel Lee Harrigan, lovingly known as Samuel, came into this world on May 29th, 1947 in Moundsville, WV, USA, and departed on June 22nd, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and a profound sense of family. His was a life well-lived, full of joy and notable for his reliability and warm humor.
Born and raised in Moundsville, Samuel moved to Aurora, Colorado, where he lived a fulfilling life with his beautiful wife, Phyllis Harrigan. Samuel was a dedicated and reliable cab driver who loved his work in the transportation industry. He was known to bring joy to his passengers' journeys with his funny tales and humble demeanor. He was more than a cab driver; he was a friend, a mentor, and a beacon of positivity on the road of life. After retirement, Samuel remained very much a man on the move, spending his time with his adored family and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. In the words of Helen Keller, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all," and for Samuel, life was indeed a daring, beautiful adventure.
Family was the cornerstone of Samuel's life, and he leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis Harrigan, their children, Samuel Jr. and Melissa Persinger, his daughter, Rebecca Snyder, and his cherished grandchildren, Katrina Peterson and Tony Persinger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gladys Harrigan, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
In celebrating Samuel's life, we acknowledge a man who was not only loving, reliable, funny, and humble but also deeply loved. His laughter and love will echo in the halls of our memories, and his legacy will continue to shape our lives. We invite you to share your memories and upload photos to the memorial page, as we remember and honor the remarkable life of Samuel Harrigan.
