Englewood, Colorado
You came into the world weighing a healthy ten pounds on March 3, 1984. What a welcome addition you were to our little family, with your big sister Summer and parents Pat and Doug Livingstone in Great Falls, Montana! We always joked that you were born hungry, as the nurse brought you in screaming within an hour of your birth. She gently handed you over and said, 'Do something with her, she’s disrupting the whole nursery!’"
Your life was blessed with height and strength, though you were often judged by others—your 6-year-old size leading people to expect you to act older than your 3 years. However, you made the most of your 6'2" frame, excelling in volleyball and basketball during your school years, eventually ending with shoulder surgery as a college freshman player.
You were an adventurous and very active child—Barbies, bikes, and friends filled your days. Constantly busy, sometimes getting into trouble, but always a ray of sunshine and happiness to everyone who met you.
Two years of college led you to realize that makeup artistry in California should be your future. You were creative and talented with makeup, loving the products and helping women look pretty and feel beautiful. You moved your way up the ranks at MAC, making life-long friends and blessing many family members with your skills for weddings and special events. Your next career path took you to medical assistant/X-ray tech school, where you graduated with honors. However, technicalities prevented you from pursuing that career, and unfortunately, it was not meant to be. With your kindness and amazing empathy, a medical career would have been a perfect fit for you.
In 2013 you decided you could no longer live in a different state than your sister and future niece, so you made the move to Denver. Mortgages and processing led to eight more successful years of work, eventually finishing with a career in insurance. Your work was always praised, done well, and approached with a dedication to excellence and an amazing work ethic. You made us so proud of every career you accomplished. And you succeeded in being the most incredible aunt.
Your great passions in life were singing, makeup, dogs, and art/craft projects. Your natural ability in all of these areas was evident in the finished products. You could train a puppy to do so much in just 30 minutes, and your drawings still grace your nephew’s nursery and our walls.
Your greatest love and joy in your abbreviated life was your energetic little girl, Emalyn Grace. You adored everything about her. With her birth, you created a wonderful home for her and your husband, Dan. You were truly an amazing mommy.
You dearly loved your immediate family, as well as the big extended family scattered around the country, Family reunions were never missed, and they were always the highlight of any year for you. You leave behind Dan, Emalyn, Mom, Dad, your sister, Summer, and her family (Dathan, Avery, Isaac), as well as in-laws Sandy and Trevor, sisters-in-law Cassara and Skylar, and their children (Charlie, Amaya, Dean, Loretta).
You were our sunshine and joy. You were fun, effervescent, and made friends with ease. You loved to laugh and showed kindness and compassion whenever it was needed. Incredibly generous with your help and gift-giving, you made people feel good, feel needed, and feel valued. You were so, so loved, Lauren Cristina.
On February 6, 2025, our world lost a beautiful woman and an extraordinary soul. Sing, dance, and be our new second guardian angel, sweet girl. Hold Violet close for us. Know that our lives have all been blessed by your time on earth, spreading your love and joy. You will be missed forever.
Until we meet again.
