Joseph Stukes

Joseph Stukes, 86, of Aurora, CO, passed away on June 5, 2023. Joseph was born December 4, 1936 in Manhattan, NY the only child of Comell Stukes. As Joseph did not attend college, he committed completely to the United States Air Force serving 4 years ending with Honorable discharge. After his time in the Air Force, Joseph began working as a foreman at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal retiring in 1984.

After his time at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Joseph worked tirelessly obtaining his Master Electricians license starting his family owned business, Stukes & Sons Electric, that stood for thirty nine years in the heart of Denver, CO.

In Joseph's younger years, he had various hobbies such as Boxing, Golf and Softball, which he excelled in and enjoyed very much.

In 1958, Joseph met Gladys Johnson in Manhattan, NY. Joseph and Gladys went on to get married on July 28, 1958. Joseph is survived by his wife and their three children: Dayrl Stukes, Erica Stukes-Garth (Husband Michael Garth) and Joey Mark Stukes (Best Friend Tameria Merritt-Stukes). As Josephs Family grew he was loved many including his grandchildren: Nicole weeks (Husband Kenny Weeks), Amber Merritt, Victoria Lynch, Joey Mark Stukes Jr., Lashyia White and Tailor Stukes, along with eight Great-grandchildren and a host of many beloved friends.
